CEAS Welcomes Knight-Hennessy Scholar Cameron Waltz

Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University announced its 2025 cohort of 84 new scholars from 25 countries and 46 graduate degree programs across Stanford University. Scholar Cameron Waltz of Fort Worth, Texas, will pursue his master of arts degree in East Asian studies at the Center for East Asian Studies with a regional focus on China. According to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars:

"[Cameron Waltz] graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies, international relations, Chinese, and government. Through his research on U.S. policy toward China, Cameron aims to contribute to the careful management of Sino-American relations over his lifetime. He previously served as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he published research on China’s security engagement with the Global South. Cameron is a recipient of the Boren Scholarship, Critical Language Scholarship, and the Dedman Distinguished Scholarship."

Knight-Hennessy Scholars is a multidisciplinary, multicultural graduate fellowship program.
