Free and open to the public. Lie will discuss the transformation in Zainichi identity in the post-World War II period. In particular, I focus on the social condition of disrecognition by larger Japanese society and the predominance of exilic, North-Korea-affiliated identification by the ethnic Korean population in Japan.
