CAREERS

Career Development Center offers students and alumni many ways to network and search for opportunities (jobs, internships, etc.) that relate to East Asian Studies. They also provide career counselors who can assist in the process. The following are just a few of the programs that the Center offers:

  • The Stanford Career Network, maintained by the Stanford Alumni Association, offers over 5000 Stanford alumni worldwide who have volunteered to meet with students to provide advice and contacts. Users can search by location, job type, degree, etc.
  • Career Resource Database, maintained by the CDC, can be used to search for a variety of career materials that assist students with exploring careers and researching employers. Along with hardcopy resources, the Center has employer directories and databases. Materials are housed at the Career Development Center.
  • The Shadow Program maintained by the CDC, is a large multicultural database of professionals working in a wide range of career fields who are willing to sponsor students to spend a day observing, or "shadowing" them as they work.
