July 3 Strike (Germany/Poland, 2006; Docudrama directed by Volker Schlöndorff)A nearly illiterate woman becomes one of the founders of Poland's Solidarity union.  The film is based on real events and filmed in the historic Lenin shipyard in Gdansk. Sponsored by the Program in International Relations and The Europe Center
