Entrepreneurs and Emerging Technology-Intensive Innovation in Asia

Open to the public at no charge : light refreshments served
Entrepreneurship in rapidly growing economies like China has focused on meeting immediate market demands and may seem less technology-intensive than in advanced economies.  Dr. Lerwen Liu, an Asia-based expert in nanotechnology policy / strategy, internationalization, and business development, discusses the next wave of technology-intensive entrepreneurial innovation in Asia.  Author of the book "Emerging Nanotechnology Power: Nanotechnology R&D and Business Trends in the Asia Pacific Rim," Dr. Liu is Managing Director of the consultancy NanoGlobe Pte Ltd. in Singapore.  She is the founding secretary of the Asia Nano Forum, strategic advisor and founding director of Nanostart Asia, and she has played a vital role in setting up Nanostart AG's Singapore fund. This is the sixth session in our ten-week Spring Quarter series on "Entrepreneurship in Asian High-Tech Industries."
