The 14th UNAFF (United Nations Association Film Festival) from October 21-30, 2011 Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Stanford University celebrates the power of documentary films dealing with human rights issues, the environment, racism, women’s issues, universal education, war, and peace. The theme for this year is EDUCATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

Description:
In the face of the international expansion of civil and military nuclear energy, Atomic Alert gives a thorough understanding of the strategic issues linked to nuclear energy and its risks on an international level, including public health, waste management, environmental and political issues.

Biography:
Thomas Johnson is an acclaimed director and producer working for Paris-based Play Film. Founded in 1995, Play Film is a production company working in documentary, institutional and fiction films. After five years dedicated to the distribution of a catalog comprising three hundred hours of films by writer/directors, Play Film initially chose to specialize in documentary film production. Since 2005, Play Film has expanded its production to include short and feature-length fiction films, as well as developing an institutional sector concerned with promoting the cultural, natural, nonmaterial and human heritage of public and private organisms.
